Jessie at Jessie's money http://jessiesmoney.blogspot.com/ wrote recently about bloggers being "outed". Apparently this has happened to another FP blogger that I follow, and I thought that I should post something about this as it happened to me.
If you go back to the beginning of this blog, it seems to start in the middle, that's because it does. I use to have another blog, but it was "outed" by a co-worker. I don't want to get into too many details, but that's the story. I was thinking about reposting at least some of the old posts (ones I wouldn't get into trouble for), but at this point, I'm not sure.
Anyways, today is PAYDAY!!! I will update the bars tonight. I CAN'T wait until I get my tax refund. Apparently it will be deposited into my bank account on the 8th (Monday), I'm not sure why it will take so long (2 weeks since I filed) but anyways. Going directly on the Visa . . .
TTFN, Morgaine.
I'm not sure who you blogged as before - but I'm glad you stopped by my site and left a message :) Thanks for the shout out - I've added you to my reader!
ReplyDeleteHi Jessie,
ReplyDeleteGlad you stopped by :)
I can't say at this point, because I used my last name - which of course is what gave it away in the first place! I've deleted that blog now anyways. I did follow your blog then and now, and I think its important to try and keep the blog private, except for very close friends, people you know are not going to give you away. I'm also trying to keep as much personal & work info out of this as possible. I hope it works out this time!
Thanks,
Morgaine.
I found you through Jessie's blog. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you have me on your blog roll! Just wanted to say hi, and congrats at finishing off that student loan! Feels good doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteHello GMC,
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by. I had been reading a lot of PF blogs for a while before I started one.
It feels amazing to have paid off that loan. For years it seemed that I would have this debt forever, so to know that it is possible to pay off debt is definitely the motivation that I am going to be using to move forward in this journey.
Thanks again,
Morgaine
Found you through Jessie too! That's frustrating - it sounds like you should have maybe received a warning rather than losing your job entirely. It's definitely a fine line we walk.
ReplyDeleteHi ee,
ReplyDeleteI agree that perhaps I shouldn't have lost my job over it, either, but apparently my boss didn't share my opinion. It may have had something to do with the fact that most of my gripes were with him and the money (and he controlled my raise - or lack thereof).
Anyways, I'm currently at a workplace where my boss values my work and the monthly bonuses are certainly helping me pay my debt off WAY quicker.
Your blog is hilarious! I will keep reading it. Thanks for dropping by :)
