I'm finding Pinterest to be a great resource for gift ideas.
Here's 2 awesome recipes I found:
Flavoured butter: http://www.yourhomebasedmom.com/flavored-butters/
Basil Infused Olive Oil: http://www.shutterbean.com/2012/basil-infused-oil/
I did up a garlic and herb flavoured butter and the basil infused olive oil. I threw them in a basket with some toast points and brie. Add a bottle of nice white wine, and it was a very nice gift to my friend that cost me less than $25 :)
Are you on pinterest? Have you made anything that you've found (craft or recipe)?

Nice! I've found so many delish recipes on Pinterest! Cookie dough truffles may top the list. I've tried some of the craftier things, but, alas, I am not very crafty...
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteI've tried a few other recipes (will probably write another post) from pinterest and it really is a great resource. I may have to look for that cookie dough truffle recipe, sounds yummy.
I'm fairly crafty, I just find I don't have the time.
Thanks for dropping by :)
Great idea! I'm in love with Pinterest--to the point that I have to limit my browsing/pinning or else I find myself losing entire chunks of the day :)
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteMe too! I decided I needed to start actually making some of the stuff I found on there and this was the start.
My friend really liked the gift. And I got to use some of the ideas I found :)
Thanks for visiting.
Yum. That sounds like a super tasty gift. I don't have pintrest, but the bf does. I like to make gifts if I have time (and if I know the giftee will appreciate a homemade gift).
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteYes, I will always make a gift if I can, so much more thought put into it :)
That's funny, my hubby HATES pinterest with a passion, he thinks its just for shopping. I think I've changed his mind a bit since I've been making some recipes from there though :)
Thanks for stopping by :)
